PostSubject: To Boldly Go   To Boldly Go Icon_minitimeTue Jun 19, 2012 2:42 am

"Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, her ongoing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life forms and civilisations, to boldly go where no-one has gone before." Roxanne voiced the words along with Leonard Nimoy and jumped onto the table, clutching a hand to her chest.

She turned around to notice James enter the room and grinned. "Oi! Jim! James T Kirk! Come on, we must build a starship immediately! Our own has been destroyed by Klingons! Quickly! With haste, Captain!" She leapt from the table to grab her cousin by the arm and pull him up with her. Building a spaceship out of the furniture in her auntie's house would be fun. Cousin bonding. The parents would be proud.

To Boldly Go Empty
PostSubject: Re: To Boldly Go   To Boldly Go Icon_minitimeTue Jun 19, 2012 3:15 am

James was bored. Like, completely and utterly bored out his mind. He'd gone so far as to consider reading a book for entertainment. But the very thought of doing that made him even more bored, so he decided to cross it off the list. He knew at least one of his cousins was wandering about somewhere though. So he was wandering through the house trying to find them.

And then he found Roxanne. Standing on a table. And then she was calling him captain and talking about making a starship and pulling him on the table and he'd finally found something to do. Spaceships's were the very definition of fun.

"Those dastardly Klingons!" he said, planting his hands on his hips and pointing to one end of the table. "We need a...front of the ship!" what was the front of the ship called? "And seats for us! So we can drive it," he looked around the room, whispering as he spoke. "What do we use for the ship front?"

"Yes! We need a Bridge!" Roxanne placed her arm in front of her mouth and pretended to speak into a communicuff. "Captain's Log," she said in a deep voice. "Stardate fifty eight twenty seven nine zero two. We are preparing the USS Weasley." She looked at James. He would be one of the only three with a different surname. "The USS Posley," she amended, before looking around. They needed seats really, and walls. And a front of the ship. James was right.

Spotting some sheets on the airer, Roxanne pulled them off and began to shift around the furniture, throwing the linen over some of the taller objects to form a shelter, before pulling off some of the cushions from the sofa and forming two chairs by resting them against the coffee table. "Captain Kirk, what do you think? If my calculations are correct the ship should be fully functional what with a few tweaks." She bit her lip and frowned, before having an idea. Grabbing the fruit bowl, she turned it upside down, taking the fruits and lining them up in various different combinations. She then began to press them, making beeping noises as she went. "The scientific equipment is ready, sir!"

James gave Roxanne an expectant look as she announced the ship's name as Weasley. He grinned when she changed it though. Posley was a silly name. He liked it. USS Posley. He stood back and watched as Roxanne went about preparing the ship, helping with the sheet, but for the most part just letting her do all the work. She seemed to know what she was doing after all. It wasn't until she mentioned a few tweaks that he realised they were missing something very important. He grabbed one long round pillow from one couch and put it against the side of the 'starship', rolling up a rug and putting it on the other side. "The guns are ready also."

As she began pressing the fruits, he settled himself in the makeshift seat, making a buzzing sound as he pressed to the imaginary intercom for the ship. "This is Captain James T Kirk," he said, repeating the name he remembered Roxanne using. "Preparing the USS Posley for take-off. Time to go give those Klingons what's coming."

Roxanne grinned widely as James prepared the weaponry. He was getting into it. She loved mucking around with James, he didn't need any explaining to get into her games. "Well thought, Captain," she said, nodding. "Can't leave undefended. Defence mechanisms are up and ready to go!"

She jumped into the seat next to him, watching as he spoke into his arm and nodded. "Let's sort them out, Captain! Over!" She grinned and pretended to steer a banana. "Lift off in five, four, three, two, one!" She let them "get into the air" before making "AROO" noises. "Oh no!" she cried, turning to look at James. "We're malfunctioning, Captain! I think the Klingons have got aboard!"

James pretended to follow the actions of being lifted off into the air in as Roxanne spoke, pressing himself back into his seat and pretending to hold onto some kind of head-thing in front of him. He nearly jumped at the loud 'aroo' noise that Roxanne made, putting on his best serious face as she turned to him.

"Not the Klingons!" he gasped dramatically, before 'unbuckling' himself and jumping out of his seat, pretending to pick weapons off the wall, handing one out to Roxanne. "Put the ship into autopilot, Captain Rox. We need to go sort these Klingons out once and for all!" he held the imaginary weapon in his hand, wondering if it was worth going to the shed and finding their water-guns. "If we need extra weaponry, we should go get some from the- uh- armory. Out back."

"Yes sir, Captain Kirk," Roxanne replied, pushing the banana into 'autopilot' and unbuckling her seat too, before leaping up behind him. She whipped out an imaginary gun too, and nodded at his words. Extra weaponry? She hoped they needed it. If he meant the water guns that would be the most fun thing in the world. Roxanne Weasley loved water guns.

She pointed ahead and gasped. "Look! There's their ship!" she said, pointing out of the window, before moving her finger and indicating the door. "I think they're behind the door sir! Set phasers to stun!" She turned to look at him as she primed her imaginary weapon, and waited for his lead. They would defeat these enemies, no problem.

James looked in the direction his cousin was pointing in, imagining an enemy ship through the window, attempting to surpress a grin at the prospect of getting the 'extra weaponry'. Oh man he loved this game. He followed her finger again as she pointed towards the door and readied her imaginary gun. He followed her lead, setting it to stun.

"Get to cover, when I open this door I imagine they'll start firing immediately," he advised, before holding his gun up in fighting position and creeping towards the door, grasping the handle and turning to Roxanne, nodding once to indicate he was ready, before opening the door, keeping behind it for cover, as he leant round it to shoot at invisible enemy, full on with 'pew pew' lazer-gun-noises.

Roxanne nodded, uttering a quick "Yes sir", before leaping behind a coffee table and charging her imaginary phaser. She got into prime position, before watching James open the door. As soon as it was open, she leaned forward and began to shoot.

"Pew! Pew!" she called, before punching the air in victory. "Careful, Captain, a shot could be fatal unless you get the healing powers of the water from Mount Tikkalulalay!" She continued to shoot her imaginary gun at imafinary villains, before she screamed and leapt in front of James, a "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" being shouted as she went down in slow motion. She pretended to cough and splutter, having great fun, before looking up at James.

"Remember, the healing waters from Mount Tikkalulalay can only be administered through the... Water blasters stored in the armory. Go, Captain, save me, before it's too late." She then fell to the ground, made a wretching noise and let her tongue flop out of her mouth.

Waiting a second for her death to impact, she jumped up, shouting a quick "I'm not me!" before grabbing a blanket and the empty fruit bowl. Draping her shoulders in the blanket, she placed the fruit bowl on her head and sucked in a very noisy breath, exhaling it just as loud. She began to repeat this, before turning around. "I am Lord Vader," she announced. "Luke. I am your father." Wait a second, he was James T Kirk at the moment. "James Kirk," she corrected without hesitation. "We meet at last. Are you headed for Mount Tikkalulalay? Only one can drink from it's healing waters. Prepare... TO DIE." She powered up her imaginary light sabre, making a "shuuuum" noise, and dipped her head into a slight bow.

Wow. This was a fun game.

James continued to fire away, walking closer towards the door, thoroughly enjoying himself. He jumped back slightly as Roxanne threw herself in front of him and screamed no, getting a suitably depressed look on his face before he scrambled down next to her, as the enemies convienently stopped firing at them or something.

He tried not to look too excited when she mentioned water blasters in the armory.

"Do not fear, Captain Rox. I will stop at nothing to save you," he swore, in the most dramatic voice he could summon, before standing and picking his imaginary gun back up, stepping over her body and towards the door, firing again.

But then Roxanne was on her feet again, scrambling about to prepare a new costume. James stood and waited, watching what she was doing and trying to guess. Heavy breathing he sort of recognised? Where was that from again? When he heard the I am your father part he vaguely remembered wooshing glowsticks. Yeah, that sounded about right.

"Father or not, you'll never stop me from getting to Mount Tikkalulalay! If this is how it shall be," he powered up his own light-sabre-glowstick-thingy. "Then you'll be the one dying today!"

He gave out a battle cry and charged forward, making the appropriate noises when he moved his weapon around, aiming straight for Lord Vader.
